This charming 19th century home and delightful country retreat began its journey with an unoccupied four-room stone house and an abandoned, weathered stone barn. The primary goal of this renovation was to transform the property into a home that is both welcoming and comfortable for weekend guests, while still maintaining an intimate atmosphere. Working in collaboration with their architect, we brought to life a space that thoughtfully incorporates the owners' vast and diverse art collection, utilizing an abundance of vibrant color alongside the natural tones of rich stone and warm oak. Once the main home was completed and beautifully furnished, we shifted our focus onto the barn to create a serene writing studio that also doubles as a cozy guest suite. The little explosion of color and unique pattern throughout this space has become a favorite, making it a cherished refuge for relaxation and inspiration.
